Everyone that was close with Angie knew that she deeply adored her family and appreciated each moment she spent with them. She is survived by, in her own words, “…a wonderful husband named Shawn, and 3 beautiful daughters named Skylee, Tayzia, and Haylee.” There was rarely a conversation in which Angie didn’t talk endlessly about how proud she was of her girls and their accomplishments. She did her best to encourage and instruct her daughters in their academics and vigorously cheered for them in their athletics.

Her favorite pastime was watching her volleyball star, Skylee, as she outshined all of her peers. Regardless of Angie’s physical limitations, she made a point to attend every game possible so that her daughter would know that she was cared for. Those who were unable to attend a game, were always given a detailed play-by-play of each one of Skylee’s triumphs, while her mother beamed with pride.

Quick to instruct and encourage, nothing was more important to her than seeing her family learn, progress and grow. Angie would talk often about the successes and struggles of her children in a positive manner, never failing to express how proud she was of them despite the outcome. Having a close, loving husband and children was always one of her greatest wishes in this world. While she realized that there was a possibility that many of life’s blessings wouldn’t be hers, she still thanked our Heavenly Father for the greatest blessing of all: her family.

Shawn and Angie Hansen

Angie met her loving husband in February of 2008, and they were married shortly thereafter in Provo Utah on May 31st. They were sealed together for time and all eternity in the Jordan River Temple on April 9th, 2011 amidst broad smiles and sweet tears of joy from their family and friends. Their eldest daughter Skylee Hansen was sealed to them moments later, joining them as an eternal family unit. Angie made a point to quickly hang the certificate of sealing and regarded that day as one of the greatest moments of her life.

~~~~~
Each one of us that have had the privilege to take part in Angie’s miraculous life has felt deeply honored, and grateful, for every moment spent in her company. She never missed an opportunity to show her Christlike love and appreciation for everyone that she came in contact with. Her honesty, charity, and compassion was our guiding light. Her strength and conviction was our inspiration. We all feel that our worlds have dimmed, and that a great light has left our lives. The happiness she brought to our families bound us together and kept us moving forward. No words can adequately express the pain we all feel at her passing.
However, we know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the agony and affliction she had to suffer through for so many years, has now been replaced with the perfect joy that only our Father in Heaven can give, and that she is finally receiving all of those glorious benefits and blessings which she most rightly deserves. There has never been a better wife, mother, sister, niece, granddaughter, or friend.
Your family loves you Angie! Now and in all the eternities to come!
